Césarová, Eva ; Kalina, Kamil (advisor) ; Mravčík, Viktor (referee)
Backgroud: Current research suggests that psychedelics might have a significant therapeutic potential for the treatment of addictions, as well as the treatment of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental illnesses. The current renaissance of psychedelic research, as well as changes in the approach towards these substances we see in some countries, suggest that it is only a matter of time until psychedelics are officially used as a therapeutic tool in treatment. The progressive field of addictology in the Czech Republic could be one of the pioneers of psychedelic research in the treatment of addictions. Aim: The theoretical part of this work provides insights into the current events in the field of psychedelic research in the Czech Republic and in the world. The research part maps the perspectives and attitudes of Czech experts and representatives of leading institutions (areas of addictology, research on psychedelics and mental health and state administration) on the use of psychedelics in the treatment of addictions. The aim of this work was to find out how these experts approach this issue and what possibilities and limits of implementation of research on psychedelics in the treatment of addictions they perceive. Methods: Twelve respondents took part in a qualitative...

A preliminary hypothesis stated that the most frequent arguments would be health-related. A secondary goal was the comparison of raw veganism to orthorexia, which can be described as a pathological obsession with healthy food. The output and resulting arguments of the thesis are intended to aid colleagues in medicine. Methodology: Required data was gathered by means of an electronic survey. The questionnaire, consisting of 20 required and one optional question, was made available only to a specific sample of people who had in the past followed or were still following a partial or complete raw vegan diet, and were at least 18 years of age. Laminitis is one of the most important complex diseases of horses, often leading to irreversible hoof changes, which fundamentally restricts work and sports use of horses, fitness, performance, and reduces their value. Prevention and timely treatment is a prerequisite for further full use of the horse. The bachelor thesis deals with the anatomy and physiology of the hoof, the etiology of the disease of the hoof joint, and the formation, course and treatment of the hoof approval with the aim of getting acquainted with the possibility of alternative treatment. Part of the work is also an evaluation of the incidence of hoof approval, treatment and prevention methods. A questionnaire survey was carried out in 18 holdings with a total of 23 recorded cases of hoof approval, with the most common proportion of horses in the age category 11-15 years (34.8%). The disease was mainly found in horses used for recreation (78.3%) who had 60.9% physiological hooves. The disease was found in most horses (91.3%) in the clinical phase, most often after lameness (69.6%). The main cause of hoof approval in our questionnaire survey was a nutrition error (82.6%). From the point of view of breeding, the disease was most frequently observed in the pony (73.9%).

Kloudová, Daniela ; Peterka, Josef (advisor) ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (referee)
The dissertation aims at showing the differences in dealing with the death issue in characteristic works of art of both Czech and world literature. Above all, it pursues the comparison of two novels Život střídá smrt ("Life Becomes Death") by Petr Prouza and Nebe nemá dno ("Heaven is Bottomless") by Hana Andronikova. Both unique books belong to key Czech novels with the topic of death. Moreover, both of them deal with death from the point of personal experience, which means they are strongly autobiographical. The dissertation concentrates on creative processes and topical aspects, grasps autobiographical elements of both novels and all the identities and differences in the approach to the same topic. Therefore, the dissertation is devoted to listing the works of art dealing with death, further on to the analyses, interpretation and comparison of the novels Život střídá smrt ("Life Becomes Death") and Nebe nemá dno ("Heaven is Bottomless") together with the reflexion of reader's experience.
